Linkage Groups 2017-06-12T11:57:31+00:00

What is a Linkage Group?

A Linkage Group is a network of people who all share a common interest. For example, a Tourism Linkage Group may consist of community organisations who are interested in tourism and / or other groups that are involved in developing amenities (Trails, Woodland walks etc.) that attract tourism. A Joint Policing Linkage Group might be of interest to organisations who are concerned with matters such as Community Alert and / or Neighbourhood Watch programmes.

How will the Linkage Group work?

The PPN-elected reps that sit on the Council committees will report back to the Linkage Group on matters discussed at committee. Linkage Groups will then have an opportunity to comment on these matters, through the PPN elected reps and to have a voice in the shaping of Council policy on these issues.

Linkage Groups

How can my group benefit?

Your organisation is now being invited to identify the key policy areas in which it has an interest. By registering with the Linkage Group your organisation will be kept informed and receive information that is of specific interest to your group. Effectively, your organisation will receive information that is tailored to its key objectives and interests. Being a part of the linkage group will also allow you to connect with other similar-minded organisations to share information and expertise and to participate in meetings of the Linkage Group.
